Date of submission: Jun 15th/ applied to 3 more schools Aug 24th
Overall GPA: 3.49/ without 3.56
Science GPA: 3.31/ without 3.41
Bio-Chem-Physics GPA: 3.21/ without 3.31
DAT score (include AA and all sections): PT 23, QR 17, RC20, Bio 18, GC 22, OC 26, TS AA 21
State of Residence: Wisconsin

Undergrad Attended: Marquette
Major: Biomedical Sciences
Minor: Business administration
Minority? No (middle eastern).
Reapplicant? Yes (last cycle had 5 interviews out of 7 schools when I reached out to the schools to find out why I wasn't selected, they said, "strong DAT, LOR, Interviewing, demonstration of grit weakness was GPA" "they also said to many applicants not enough seats" lol) (since then I have raised my GPA by .14)
Nontrad? No

Shadowing Experience: 106hr in multiple different practices, mainly general dentists and some orthodontists.
Volunteering Experience: 500hr+ I have volunteered as a touter, in the hospital, food pantry, research (at the dental school), and board member on university organizations.
Employment: 1000hr+ I have worked as a dental assistant in the greater Milwaukee area for over 2 years. I have started my own business. I have also worked at the dental school. Currently, in my gap year, I am working full-time as a dental lab tech working on making PFMs crowns and e max.
Research: Hours and type; any publications or presentations? How many?
Relevant Honors or Awards: Dean list, cum laude.
LOR type and strength: I am doing a committee letter, and from the feedback I have received from admissions is that I have a strong committee letter.
Misc Info/Things not stated elsewhere/Red Flags: I honestly don't understand what I did wrong last cycle and why I wasn't accepted. I am currently applying with my sibling. I graduated this past May. Did my CASPER test haven't received my score yet.

I think you wasn’t accepted last year bc you did not have a BS and your GPA was not high.

Good luck! Sometimes you just need to try again. My small concern is your bio subscore which could confirm any concerns with your grades. But you definitely have a good shot.

I agree my bio score is lower than my other sections. Also I didn’t do so hot on bio either, however that was my freshman year which was my worst year. After that my grades only went up I even ended up with 4.0 last semester l. I also took a tone of upper level science classes and did well on. Do you think it could have been my age because when I applied last cycle I was only 20?

I don't think age by itself, but perhaps the additional year of solid biomedical courses will be what you need.

5 out of 7 interviews means your stats are ok, but your interviewing skills are not up to par...

I’m confused how someone can get 5 interviews but not one acceptance, were you waitlisted at any of these schools? At that point I would argue that it may have been your interviewing skills. Reason being your dat and gpa had to have been good enough to receive interview invites, they don’t invite students that they would deny based on academic stats. If that was the case you wouldn’t have gotten an ii.
