What are my chances at getting a high MCAT score (I'm far from taking MCAT yet just speculation).

I have an IQ of 135, which is 1 in 102, average doctors score in between 120-130. assuming they passed in the upper percentiles of mcat and got into med school. around 90,000 take mcat each year or took it in 2019 (i didn't take it then just a reference). 2.2 million took sat and 1.78 million took act in 2019.HOWEVER I have severe adhd and/or possibly MA (maladaptive daydreaming) and have trouble studying. any tips? im getting scared i wont make a good score because i keep being told by people im too lazy to go to med school. actually, i have all or nothing focus as my therapist describes it. but anyway.

if you haven't already noticed i have a tendency to "predict as far as my funeral" and "look for shortcuts"

also i scored 26 on act science and 28 on act reading. 32 on math, and 28 on english. 610 in sat english and 590 in math.

IQ has been shown to be a poor predictor of success on standardized tests, including the MCAT. The SAT and ACT both have been shown to only be weekly correlated to MCAT scores, as has GPA. Your success on the MCAT isn’t dependent on your past success, but your future dedication. If you want to do well, then learn what it takes to do so. Study the science tested on the mcat, take practice exams and analyze the types of questions they ask and what answers they look for, and develop strategies accordingly. I’ve known people with 4.0 gpas and perfect act scores score below the 50th percentile on the MCAT.

It’s not like the SAT/LSAT/GRE. Correlation between score and IQ is probably much lower for MCAT

You should just take one of the free diagnostic tests online and see how you do and what you need to do to get a good score

Take practice exams and see how you're doing. Based off the results of the exam, study hard in your weak areas while maintaining your wealth of knowledge in your strong areas. AFAIK, IQ doesn't have a very strong correlation with these exams; being smarter than the average person makes you more competitive (if you can utilize it well), but there are plenty of intelligent people that don't do well on the MCAT or don't go to medical school.

The best way to do well on the MCAT, STEP, etc., is to do practice questions and utilize the knowledge you have, strengthening the connections between your neurons.

Good luck!

The MCAT is 20% general intelligence. The remainder is a combination of hard work, focus, and resilience.
