Hi all,

I was just wondering if anyone has any advice for me regarding my scenario. I am a michigan resident and my top school is the university of michigan, yet I have still not recieved an interview invite. For reference, I have a 4.0 gpa, 4.0 science gpa, 27 AA, 26 TS, 23 PAT 25 Reading and over 200 hours in both shadowing and community service. I applied to 12 schools and was invited to interview at a total of 5: UDM, Columbia, Ohio State, Touro, and UPenn. I am extremely greatful to have had the opportunity to interview at said schools but at the same time I was really hoping to interview at umich because it is my top school and it is much cheaper than all of the aforementioned options. Does anyone have any advice/anything I can do to get consideration for an interview?

Thank you.

Congratulations on the 5 interviews!

Be patient. Michigan could send an II tomorrow or after offers start rolling in December. They could also think the Ivy sirens might call you if you got an offer from Columbia or Penn. This is not yield protection, but it's playing your odds with financial aid. Prepare a letter of interest, but don't send it until Decision Day.

Thank you for the insight, I really appreciate it!

No I have not. I only know students at the school but am not close with any faculty.
that's the only issue i see with your app as described
but sometimes schools don't want to have all super high stats students
hard to say what your chances of an invite are, but i hope you did well at your other interviews and will have a successful cycle...
