MCAT: Haven't taken it but I have been scoring 503-505 on practice tests
Biology major

Applying 2019 cycle

Clinical volunteer: Volunteer at local Fire District as EMT-B (200+ hours)

Clinical Work: Work as a supplemental Monitor Technician

Shadow: 180 hours between general and orthopedi surgeons

Research: None

No they are not.
Bad. Very bad, they have to poverty stricken for it to even count.

Just kidding, but I think some volunteering with actual needs in the local community is important as well, such as food bank, tutoring at under funded school, social work or working with the mentally ill.

Alright, I will find some opportunities, thanks! All said, do you think I should apply to MD programs, or should I just strive for DO?
 
No way to know until you take the MCAT. But try to aim higher! 505 will be OK for DO, but you really want to aim for 510+ if possible. Do everything you can to get your score to that level. GPA and MCAT are the most important things to land interviews.
