Hello. I just graduated from college this spring, and I am contemplating what to do next. I have always had an interest in pharmacy most likely Purdue because it's close to where I live, and it's a great school...so here are my stats...what are my chances??

GPA: 3.6
Licensed phlebotomist (not pharmacy, I know, but at least health related)
Worked at a local pizza place all through college
Currently work in Quality Control at a local pharmaceutical company
Section lead in college band all 4 years
Student Government 4 years

I'd say, chances are good.

Did you go to school in the state of Indiana? I'm an Indiana resident but since I went to undergrad out of state, there are a different set of standards. I believe its the 3.5 minimum, so you should be good. They have one of the reputations for being one of the most difficult admissions schools to figure out.

Thanks so much! Yes, I did go to school in Indiana, however, it was a very small liberal arts school so I hope this does not hurt my chances of getting in.

You're stats look fairly competitive but to be honest its hit or miss with Purdue, I know several people who were rejected with 4.0's and pharmacy experience. If you didn't go to Purdue for your undergrad you really need something that sticks out.

My question would be... Why were you working in pizza when you have vampiric talents? But I'm sure that's easily explained -- tips etc.

your extracurricular activities and health care related experiences are excellent, if you do good on application and interview, i think you have a good chance, but still apply for multiple schools to increase your chance.
