Hey Everyone,
I'll be applying this round, just curious as to what my chances are to getting into a DO school with my credentials. I'm also an Arizona Resident
DO Schools:
Top Two DO schools I would like to go to
Midwestern University
A.T. Still University
sGPA: 3.95, cGPA: 3.86
MCAT
1st attempt: 25O (10P, 5V, 10B)
2nd attempt: 25P (9P, 7V, 9B) I like this distribution a bit more
Extra curricular's:
Work:
Personal trainer for 3 years during my undergrad
Held office in 2 different clubs on campus for 3 and 2 years respectively:
Cultural Club President for 2 years and VP for the year prior
Was the head of a tutoring initiative of the pre-health honors club
Camp counselor for Camp Kesem for 2 summers
Completed 3 Internships:
Completed a 3 month dental internship in Lebanon
Completed a 1 month Radiology internship at the Cleveland Clinic
Completed a 1 month Neurology internship at the top Private clinic in Arizona
Research:
Completed a Case study with a few of the residents from the Cleveland Clinic on Sonographic imaging that was later published on July 2011
Have been working on another on campus research that dealt with Bio-mechanics of a football throw for about 3 semesters.
Cadaver Prosections:
Was on a 10 man team to prepare 6 cadavers for our schools anatomy and physiology lab. 3 bodies per year.
EMT Training:
Certified and Worked as a voluntary on site EMT for our Universities football games for 6 months
Hospital Volunteer:
200 hours
After I graduated I was elected to the board of a National Non-Profit Organization Called the LCN (Lebanese Collegiate Network) as their VP of Membership. The organization caters for more than 20 Universities and helps students with professional building skills.
anddddddd I'm a die hard volunteer at the Iron Man Triathlon 😍
Any thoughts on my chances guys?
