Hi guys. I was wondering what are my chances of being accepted into Harvard Medical School in 2017? Also, is it true that HMS will require less during 2016?

Would help if you posted a summary of your application. (GPA/MCAT/experiences)
Yup. We better give OP the link for that High Yield HarvardPreMed Page 👍
You talking about the one that very unusual guy who hounded med students on Facebook posted a couple weeks ago?
Hey Op, I'm here to inform you that your chances of acceptance at HMS is 'bout three-fiddy.

Yep.
Focus on your hs grades and ACT/SAT score so u can attend a good college and go from there. Best wishes my friend! I will start college soon and I definitely know that I want to become a transplant surgeon but I'm focused in the moment and present and you should too. 🙂

To repeat what someone on SDN said awhile back, the main thing HMS is looking for is the ability to levitate at will. During the interview tour of the campus, some of us were able to levitate. Maybe 20-30% of us. I think that was really what gave us a leg up for getting in.
If you can't levitate, I'd apply Carribean. Good luck!
Their acceptance rate is under 10%. Don't just go there for the name either.
More like <5%

5% more than OP's chances!
I have a 10.0 GPA and a 1000MCAT what are my chances guys? 😛
I have a 15.0 GPA and 9000 MCAT. and 4,234,989,212,234,927,215,992 hours of research and clinical experience combined. Also I have 21 Nobel Prizes, and can play the kazoo in 50 foot deep water while being chased by 436 starved sharks.
What are my chances? lol.
For y'alls: Texas hold 'em.OP, I'm so sorry that everyone in this thread is being mean to you and giving horrid advice. Ignore all the crap about levitation and whatnot. It's simply NOT the case--not everyone can have perfect stats AND levitate!
So what's the REAL secret? You must, and I mean MUST make the 2016 Rio Olympic Team for the USA (and not for any of those prissy European countries...Jamaica is okay if you are a sprinter, Russia is okay if you enjoy silver medals and never realizing your dream of physicianhood).
Better yet, make the Women's Artistic Gymnastics team, win the team final, individual all around, and take home medals on all of the individual apparatus events. Imagine the face of your Harvard interviewer when they look up from their ritual mid-interview bowl of Wheaties to see the very person on the cereal box in front of them IN SHINY SPARKLY SPANDEXED GLORY. They will be so awed and filled with American Pride that they will accept you on the spot and throw a parade in your honor every day on campus.
Source: Well, I don't mean to brag, but let's just say I really enjoyed those parades...if you catch my drift.
