Hey guys:
Based on the following scores, what are my chances of getting into a school like UCLA?
I took the DAT last year, but since I applied late I didn't get into the schools I wanted. So, I retook it this year, and the following are my scores:

DAT#1:
*****
Bio 20
G-Chem 20
O-Chem 19
RC 18
QR 19
PAT 19
AA 19 TS 20 PAT 19

DAT#2:
*****
Bio 21
G-Chem 24
O-Chem 23
RC 23
QR 17 (This is the part that worries me)🙁
PAT 20
AA 22 TS 22 PAT 20

I got a 3.84 science GPA from UCLA.
I have one year of shadowing experience at a dentist's office.
In addition, I have 2 years of undergrad research at UCLA.
I was also placed on UCLA's alternate list last year.

So, considering this and assuming that I submit my application on June 1st, what do you guys think about my chances of getting into UCLA this year. I appreciate any comments and feedback in advance.

As you know, UCLA will look at your latest DAT which is very good. To be honest your qr score is low,but qr is the least important individual score, so this section will not affect you that much. Second, your science GPA is excellent. Moreover, you graduate(D) OR will graduate from UCLA which makes tons of difference too. UCSF and UCLA like UC students. However, I have one question in my mind? Did you do research which was followed by publishing academic papers? Since UC schools are research universities, it is one of the most important piece that you may need in application. I still think that you have a high chance to get into UCLA with this status. Even you cannot get into there, do not be sad because UCLA is one of the most selective schools not only in west coast but also in the nation. Try to apply more schools, I am sure that this status will put you in a lot of DSs. Good luck with your application 👍.

Thanks for all the kind words. I haven't published a paper yet. However, we're working on a project that might get published by the end of summer. I was thinking of speaking about that during my interviews.

Hmm...why did you apply to a school that you wouldn't go to if accepted?
What's your overall gpa? You only mentioned sci...

I would say 66.67%. This is assuming your extracurricular activities are okay. You don't need publications so two years of research experience is good enough. No one cares about QR and even though UCLA loves PAT, I think 20 is fine.

Did I say I won't go to any of these schools if I get accepted?
I'm more interested in UCLA, because I went to undergrad there and I'm already familiar with the school. But that doesn't mean I won't go to UCSF if I get accepted!

Thanks for your reply! Just out of curiosity, how did you come up with such accurate percentage?
I mean if you said like 60% or 70% it would've made sense to me. But how did you come up with the 0.67%?
