When did you apply? I think you have a good list there, seems like you got most of the private schools. However, dental school admission has become increasingly competitive, and 3.25 ogpa/2.67 sci is no longer going to cut it.

Have you done something really special? or have been pulling 4.0s in your last 30 credits? Upenn, Columbia and Harvard are out of the question if you haven't performed any miracles.

I wish you best of luck at tufts and BU 🙂

Well The reason both my ogpa and sgpa are so low is because of an F i got first sem in college in bio, which i then retook but the F was still calculated in both gpa's. And my mailing date was 7/09. And thanks! Which schools did you apply to?

Pretty bold to say it won't cut it. I had a 3.10 cgpa and 2.96 science with 21/21/22 DAT and I got three interviews, two acceptances and one waitlist. It has a lot to do with what the schools you applied to are looking for.

IDK about chances... but if I were in your shoes I would go with this applicaiton cycle while planning on taking as much science classes as possible to raise the sci GPA and by extension cgpa for next cycle.

GL - I hope you get in!

Equally bold of you to imply that your situation isn't somewhat of an exception, hehe.

To the OP: I agree with Wantvcu. Best of luck to you, but odds are that you'll wish you had done more research before applying to Harvard, Penn, Columbia etc etc.

Daang that's impressive. Did you do a post-bac or masters? When did you submit your AADSAS?

Hah, I suppose, if I actually implied that. I was just trying to show an example of an under average gpa getting in. Yea I did an informal post-bacc part time at SFSU and then last fall I did a semester at Cal Extension. I still think it has so much to do with what a particular school is looking for in an applicant, but who knows.
