I am REALLY confused about applying this time around for medical school or waiting until next summer which means I will wait 2 years and will be wasting a lot of time. I graduated this May with a cell and molecular biology major and chemistry minor. If I wait until next summer and take post-bac classes will it increase my chances?? I want to get into a california school only.

PLEASE HELP ME

That part about wanting to get into a California school only is what makes it trickier. It's so competitive there that a great number of well qualified Californians wind up having to go out of state.

Since you really want to stay there, I'd say yes, do what you have to in order to raise that undergrad BCMP while staying involved in activities.

assumming you are CA resident and apply to all CA schools.
2% chance of getting into Allo?
8% chance into Ost. 😳

Of course I just made up the numbers..=) but you never know..
applying has greater chance than not applying. Good Luck!!!! 😀
