Hows it goin, well the title of my post pretty much sums up what im about to ask. Im in my final year at HBU (houston baptist university) and should have a gpa b/w 3.24-3.27 upon graduation. Ive been studying for the pcat for a while now and hopefully ill do alright on it but im worried about my gpa. Id appreciate feedback from anyone, particulary from those who have gotten in with a similiar gpa or maybe know someone who at least got an interview, do i have a decent shot of gettin into a pharm school or am i screwed:scared:

On a lighter note phelps got his 8th gold medal, that was awesome🙂

If you are applying to any schools that do rolling admissions, apply early! I've read on this forum of people getting in with gpa's below 3.0. If you had B's or C's in any bio or chem courses, having a high pcat score in those sections can help out as well...

I've watched Phelps in all 8 races...1/100 second!! That was ridic!! If I don't do well the upcoming pcat, I'm blaming Phelps and the Olympics in general.

Just wanted to make sure you realized that your "Status" is listed as Pre-Optometry???

But to answer your question as best I can, I've seen several posts from people with a GPA of 3.0 to 3.25 that say they have gotten into pharmacy school, so I'd say it's possible.

Your chances are just about as good as anyones. Apply to as many schools as you can. The only person holding you back is yourself. I mean that in a purely motivational way. :luck:

It will depend on...

- Time you apply
- PCAT score
- ECs
- LORs

Yeah, i do need to change my status, i was pre-optometry but in the last year ive been thinking about pharm as well. In the last five months I finally decided to follow that route instead plus the course requirements are pretty much the same so i was like aright ima do pharm🙂

And yes, if i do bad on the pcat ima blame phelps too :meanie:, nah just kidding😎
