Not to be rude and i'm not really only talking about you, but I honestly don't understand why people feel the need to justify reasons for getting poor grades. It is what it is.
Anyways...I think you have a decent shot. Your paragraph was a bit hard to follow in terms of what you took and retook (maybe it's time for me to sleep) but your GPA is average and your DAT is solid. Your academic scores are your keys to getting your application even looked at. After that, it's your ECs, LOR, and other professional experiences that will make you stand out. Your chances are decent. Just apply to schools that accept students with scores that are around yours and maybe apply to a couple "reach" schools.
