Hello, thank you for taking the time to advise me with the application process.

My application was completed and verified by August 17th with DAT scores.
Here are my stats:
oGPA: 3.94; sGPA: 3.92

DAT: 21 AA, 21 PAT, 22 TS (21 BIO, 22 GC, 25 OC), 20 RC, 17 QR.

I am a traditional applicant, and I have several extracurriculars activities and >100hrs of volunteering and shadowing. I have currently applied to 7 schools (UW, UCSF, WesternU, OHSU, Roseman, Colorado, ASDOH)

I am a worried about my chance of getting accepted this cycle because I applied late August. I am also concerned about my score of 17 in QR. What do you think about my chances of getting offered an interview and acceptance into a dental school?

Thank you again for taking the time to read this post. I become more doubtful of myself everyday, and would appreciate any words of wisdom.

QR is the least valued section of the DAT
if you are worried about applying late, you should apply to more schools
what state are you a resident of?
are you URM?

I am an Oregon resident, and no I am not a URM.

it's actually a pretty good list
you have a strong GPA and above average DATs
mid august is not really that late
your only reach school is UCSF (and you are still in their range)
you will likely get interviews over the next few weeks, but be aware the OHSU starts interviewing late and takes a while to get to some people
have you attended the OHSU pre-dental days and other activities at the school?

Thanks for your advice. I really appreciate it! Have you applied to OHSU before? and yes, I have attended some pre-dental day, like their Dive into Dentistry program.

as long as your PS and LORs are decent, you should get an interview at OHSU and hopefully at least a couple/few more over the next month or so

how come you didn't apply to Utah or UNLV?

I did not apply to UNLV because I couldn't see myself living in that city. However, do you think I should add Utah to my list? Do you think it would be too late if I submitted my application to that school now?

it depends on how nervous you are and if you can afford it
