A little bit about me:

I'm a Pennsylvania resident, but I attend West Virginia University. My BCP GPA is 3.6, my sGPA is 3.66, and my cGPA is 3.73. However, my GPA has had an upward trend of 3.90, 4.0, and 3.88. All of my DAT scores were 20+ and I've been heavily involved in student organizations and got great letters of recommendation. I have nearly 200 hours shadowing and tons of community service hours.

Here's my problem,

My wife is a graduate student, and her program is only offered at a select few state schools. Also, the letters of recommendations that I got were from the following subjects: Physiology (do this count as a biology letter?), Pathology, Clinical Sciences, and my dentist. Some schools that I applied to claim they want a letter from Bio, Chem, and Physics, but each of those classes had over 150 people so it's not like the professors would know who I am. All the professors that I got to write for me, knew me personally since the class sizes were small. What I'm confused about is all the schools in question emailed me and said my application was complete and none of them requested additional letters. For these reasons, I applied to these 15 schools (in no particular order):

UConn
Indiana
Kentucky
Louisville
Boston
Tufts
Maryland
Michigan
Minnesota
UNC
Nebraska
Ohio State
Penn
Temple
WVU

So what are my chances of getting into these schools????? Any insight would be greatly appreciated.

At this point in the game, you just have to sit back and wait for the interview invites. Our opinions are not going to help you at all; we don't know what the admissions committee is going to decide. If you already paid the fees and sent everything in, there's no looking back! Good luck..

You are overly worried. Unless you bomb interviews, I don't see why you wouldn't get into the list of schools you mentioned.

Your list of schools is fine. Your numbers fit with those schools you listed.

Threads like this.... :lame:

Let's recap.

You have a GPA that is competitive (at least for the average school).

Your DAT is above average in each category.

Your letters of rec are from professors that really know you.

Each school has confirmed that your application is complete (aka moving on to review)

You applied to 15 schools.

The only thing I see holding you back is your self doubt and lack of confidence.

I agree with previous posters, your application is solid. I wouldn't be afraid to mention (albeit not first thing) in supplementary applications and interviews that you are especially in their school because of the programs it offers your wife. I think some schools (like BU) want to be sure that applicants sincerely want to attend for X, X and X reasons. They don't want to be your "backup school".
