What are my chances???

I was originally premed until last summer and had a change of heart after shadowing a dentist while I was visiting family in Asia. I have roughly 600 hospital volunteer hours and held leadership positions for two years for a national nonprofit organization at my university. I have also done research on campus for two years (no publications though). Currently I have roughly 40 hours shadowing a dentist in Asia and will be accumulating closer to 100 in the next couple months. My question is what are my chances and also for the LOR I know some schools want a LOR from a dentist and was wondering an international dentist would work since I can get the dentist I shadowed to write me one or I would have to wait until I do more shadowing work here in the states and get the dentist I am shadowing to know me better before having him write me a letter which would set my application submission date to closer to mid-November.

Shadowing outside the US is great if you are planning on practicing dentistry on another continent.

There is a chance I might be practicing outside the US when I'm done with school but it's all still up in the air right now.
