Hey guys, new to this forum and just wanted to get some valuable feedback. I graduated college this may with a 2.85cgpa and 2.44sgpa. Currently studying for the MCATs in march.
EC very good,
-volunteer firefighter,
-volunteer for special Olympics,
-hold full-time manager position at fast food chain,
-volunteer for bus company working with mentally disabled children.

I also have 5 letter of recommendations, two from science professors, 1 from supervisor, as well as a non-science professor.

Ur gpa is low.... most ppl would say go and take post-bac course to boost that gpa. U need to beast the mcat in march. I also heard that may & january applicants have lower stats. September applicants tend to be more competitive.ur ec's are phenomenal.... keep it up! Gl

What exactly are you asking? Chances to get into a Caribbean school, namely one of the ones who will maximize your chance of getting into a U.S. residency program?

If you score above a 25 on the MCAT, I think you will get into one of the more reputable Caribbean schools. Your chances at a U.S. allopathic school are slim with that GPA. They are probably slim for an Osteopathy program, as well. Unless, you score like a 35 on the MCAT and somehow get your GPA up.

You will definitely have to beef up that GPA and be a rock star on the MCAT. The big 4 schools, in particular SGU, are unlikely to consider a candidate with your GPA. Do more upper-level science courses and/or, if possible, an SMP.
