Hello guys, HAPPY HOLIDAYS!!! I just wanted to know if anyone had luck with stats similar to mine.
- I am 21, asian, male. FL Resident.
- My cGPA is 3.92 and sGPA is 3.88.
- My scores are 506 (128/123/128/127), 511 (129,126,129,127).
- University of South Florida undergraduate.
- Honors Student
- Premed major, psychology minor
- I have applied to all of Florida schools only including MD and DO. So far have gotten only one interview from LECOM DO, which is going to be next year.
- I have worked part-time throughout college and started working since junior year high school. Worked at McDonalds (4 years since high school) and worked on campus (1 year). Currently looking for new jobs since I graduated this December.
- I have volunteered at natural drug discovery lab for more than 3 years. No publication. Did however, worked on my own project for Honors Thesis for 2 semesters. Also, presented a poster at two different conferences.
- I have volunteered at a hospital throughout college in many different areas, ER, CSU, CCU, Lobby etc. - 90 hrs
- Volunteered at a homeless shelter for two months - 30 hrs
- Volunteered at a Food bank couple weekends - 15 hrs
- Shadowing - 40 hrs
----a group of cardiologist for a summer
----an orthopedic/sports medicine
- Leadership
---- Committee Member (300 hrs) for Relay For life for two years in college. Have been participating at the event since high school (5 years now).
Also, I am a disadvantaged applicant. Please let me know if I have any chance at some of the MD schools. Thank you in advance!
