Hi, I am new to the forum and I wanted to get some feedback regarding my chances of being accepted to medical school.
1. Undergraduate GPA: 2.57 (Architecture). I was immature, I hated the major and I obviously messed up very badly.
2. I am currently enrolled in the informal post bac program at UCLA Extension. I am almost done with the program and I expect to have a 3.56 science GPA when done.
3. I am currently volunteering in a hospital, and by the time I apply to med school I will have about 500 hours.
4. I have about 200 hours of volunteer experience in hospice
5. I haven't taken the MCAT yet
I am planning to study for the MCAT for about 8 months, and take it April 2018. I will be applying for the 2019 cycle. I am a bit older, 31 years old.
Thank you in advance for any helpful and insightful advice I might receive.
