I spent a summer with habitat for humanity. And I volunteer during the school year at a center that teaches English to native-Spanish speakers.

Okay, those sound good. Do you have any clinical volunteering? You will need to have some exposure to a patient population in a clinical setting beyond just shadowing.

One of my research projects required me to interview patients in order to obtain DNA samples and heart tissue. So I have some experience and that lasted about a year.
