Going to be a re-applicant
VA resident, Non-urm
3.3 cGPA, 3.3sGPA
3.7 grad gpa (Medical Physiology)
508 MCAT (Balanced)

140 hrs of shadowing (3 docs- ENT, GI, Urologist)
356 clinical hrs
131.5 non-clinical hrs (tutoring/mentoring high risk youth)
520 hrs working as a office assistant at a doctors office
208 hrs working at a store raising money for animals

I got 0 interviews my first time around when I finished my applications in early/mid July so any advice is appreciated. The only thing that has really changed is I'm going to have my masters done by the time I apply.

This was my school list at the time I applied:
Albany
Albert Einstein
Central Michigan
Cooper
Drexel
EVMS
Geisinger
Howard
Temple
Loyola
Marshall
MCW
Michigan State
NYMC
Penn State
Quinnipiac
Rush
Sidney Kimmel
Toledo
VCU
VTech
Wake Forest
Wayne State
WVU
Western Michigan
Wright State

You had several OOS public schools that accept very few non residents with your stats. Your GPA is below the 10% for most schools. I suggest applying to at least 10 DO schools and you have PCOM, VCOM, CUSOM, WVSOM and UP-KYCOM in your region. You may need a DO LOR for some schools.

Here's a more realistic list:

Rush (note: very service/experience oriented with a 150hr service requirement. Avg student has 800 hours of community service, and >1800 hours of health care exposure.)
NYMC
Creighton
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
Loma Linda (but read their list of don'ts)
MCW
St. Louis U
WVU
Jefferson
Tulane
Loyola
U Miami
Wake Forest
VCU
Netter
Oakland-B
Western MI
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)

Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, or LUCOM, for different reasons
Va Tech
