I graduated 2016 from UCSC, with both a cumulative and science GPA of 3.46.

I have not taken the MCAT but will be in the following year.

I have extensive extracurriculars such as:
-Tutoring for one year
-Volunteering 1000 hrs for a non-profit for families affected by childhood cancer
-Volunteering 2 years at Hospice
-Random volunteering at soup kitchens, teen center, american chemical society, american red cross, etc
-Scribe for one year
-Worked throughout undergraduate to pay for my expenses such as rent, utilities, food, etc.
-Undergraduate researcher with publication
-Kayak club
-Studied abroad

What are my chances in terms of applying to MD schools if I have a somewhat high MCAT around 512+?

your EC's are great

your GPA is going to hold you back a bit, more so if you are from California. where is your state of residence?

if not from cali, and you get a high MCAT (>90%), you probably will be fine
