I currently have a 3.63 GPA overall with 3 Cs on my transcript which I am worried about. My BPCM is 3.53. I am taking my MCAT in July and wondering what MCAT score I should shoot for and what my chances are getting accepted to MD schools? Did anyone get in with 3 Cs on their transcript? I have over 500 hours of volunteering and about 200 hours shadowing and lots of ECs with about 1000 hours of research as well.

Your GPA is fairly competitive and honestly your MCAT score can make or break your application - I suggest shooting for a 510+.

At the top of the WAMC forum is a sticky that suggests important information for you to include in your first post about chances. Don't repost in that forum as mods are likely to move this thread there. In the meantime, you can add the additional information:

Come back with an MCAT score and then we can advise on chances (for IIs. Getting accepted is 100% on you). The MD median for acceptees is 511

How much of the weight does the MCAT hold compared to GPA?

If you are taking the MCAT in July you wont get your score back until August when?

AAMC FL 1: 508 (127/124/126/131)
AAMC FL 2: 511 (129/127/126//129)
AAMC FL 3: 508 (127/124/128/129)

I'm worried about CARS. Scheduled to take the test in 4 days from now. Should I void? If I take the exam in August, can I still apply with a 515+??
