So Im applying right now and getting really nervous.

My ACOMAS GPA is

overall 2.87
Non science 2.99
Science 2.69
Post bac 3.32

MCAT 500.

Countless clinical hours and really well rounded on the extra curriculars. Also first gen, disadvantaged.

Can any previous applicants with low/similar stats share their experience applying broadly to DOs?

Take my advice with a grain of salt, but I honestly think you should wait to apply. Do you have an upward trend in your GPA?

Your GPA is not good.
Your MCAT is not good.
Your post bac was not good.
Go ahead and wait for the advice of others but I dont see any selling point. Maybe consider a different profession.

I'd recommend you raise your GPAs to >3.0 for a fighting chance as a majority of schools have that as their cutoff.

You need to raise your GPA to >=3.0. It’s good that your Post-bacc GPA is higher than your undergrad, but from what I understand, adcoms are not going to look very favorably on it. From their point of view, you should be aceing those courses since they are usually easier than med school courses.

Increasing your gpa is the advice everyone is gonna give you. This is not very viable these days w/o grade replacement so I suggest 2 options. Either retake and destroy the mcat or find a DO SMP that will take your mcat for matriculation. You are right in line with most DO SMP with regards to GPA/MCAT. Check out lecom and Vcom for the more popular and established ones.

Chances not good. DOA at my school. You're supposed to ace a post-bac, not "B's" it.
Apply broadly, specially targeting the newest schools.

What state are you from?
Are you URM? If you are URM, chances are you may get into DO school.
if you are not URM, then either raise your sgpa >3.0 or get into SMP program.

Raise GPA above 3.0 with DIY post-bacc
MCAT is okay
Hope EC's are solid and you have a DO letter

All the above checked off and I think you can get into SOME osteo med school in the USA

P.S. You won't get in this cycle with sub 3.0 GPA - sry to be blunt
