Undergrad: Ohio State, B.A. Psychology, Minor - Neuroscience, 3.12 GPA (obvious upward trend)
Graduate: Case Western Reserve, M.S. Medical Physiology, 4.0 GPA
514 MCAT
2 years of full-time paid research at the Cleveland Clinic in two different labs (~2500 hrs) resulting in a first author manuscript submitted for publication, so far. Abstract published as an undergrad, and poster presentation as an undergrad.
Long-term volunteering: Ronald McDonald House (2 years, 300 hrs), Hospice volunteering (1 year, 150 hrs)
Shadowing: 40 hrs shadowing pediatric G.I. team on weekend rounding, observed 2 emergency surgeries
Good LOR's, good personal statement (according to different advisors and faculty I had proofread it)
OH resident.
Schools applied to (in no order): Case Western, CCLCM, Ohio St, Toledo, Wright St, Neomed, Cincinnati, Kentucky, Louisville, Rochester, Buffalo, Temple, Thomas Jefferson, UPenn, Drexel, UNC
Advice? Apply to more? Thoughts??
