What are my chances?

This forum made possible through the generous support of SDN members, donors, and sponsors. Thank you.
You are in good shape for all DO schools. The C/P score is going to be troublesome for a lot of MD schools, especially because your MCAT is unbalanced, though I think you still have a good shot if you apply broadly.

Just got my MCAT score back (first atrempt), and am a little worried about my CP and Bio scores:

CP 124
CARS 129
Bio 126
PS 130
Overall 509

My cGPA and sGPA are both 3.8. I have a PharmD and have been a practicing pharmacist for over 5 years. I took a couple of upper division classes related to public health a couple of years ago just for fun/when I was dappling with the idea of doing an MPH, and got As in both classes. Besides that, I have been out of school for more than 5 years, and most of my prereqs are about 10 years old. In regards to age, I am in my early 30s.

I submitted my primary application late July and its still being verified. (I submitted my app to a throwaway school, wanting to find out my MCAT score before applying to the schools I am serious about.)

With my current stats and my late AMCAS submission, do I still have a decent chance for the current application cycle?
Your state school should give you some love.

What was your school list?

My top choice is USUHS (I'm currently in the service and would like to stay in). Besides USUHS, I've seriously considered applying to my state school (out West) and to another state school that is local to my current duty station (out East). I feel ambivalent about casting a large net my first time applying, because if I don't get into USUHS the first time around, I think I would rather attempt to reapply before giving up on USUHS and going to a different school.

Then you're wasting a year's worth of clinician salary. The "XSOM or bust" attitude isn't a smart one. Do you want ot be a doctor or not?

I suggest:
U VM
U Miami (maybe)
U Toledo
Rush
NYMC
Creighton
Tufts
Albany
Rosy Franklin
Drexel
Temple
MCW
SLU
WVU
Wayne State
Tulane
Loyola
Wake Forest
Loma Linda (only if you are SDA or a very devout Christian)
VCU
Netter
Seton Hall
EVMS
Oakland-B
Gtow
GWU
Uniformed Services University/Hebert (just be aware of the military service commitment)
Nova MD
Any DO program. I can't recommend Touro-NY, Nova, Wm Carey, LUCOM, for different reasons. MSUCOM? Read up on Larry Nasser and you decide.

Thank you for the suggestions - this is a really helpful list. I realize holding out just for USUHS is risky, hence my ambivalence. I appreciate the nudge towards applying to more schools - I will seriously consider it.

First, forgive the ignorance. But is there a reason for these specific recommendations? Better odds?

These schools are typically known to reward upward trends and have a bit more holistic approach to the process than simply picking candidates based on whether or not accepting them will help their US News ranking.

And they're based upon reports of successful SDNers.
