Good evening everyone,

I was just wondering my chances for DO and if it is even worth applying MD,

2.92sGPA
2.97cGPA
510 MCAT
3500+ hours as an EMT for a level 1 trauma center in an underserved population
1500+ hours as an ER Tech also with an underserved population
500 hours of volunteer EMS in a suburban community
2000+ hours as a lifeguard/swim instructor
200 non healthcare related, church volunteer hours
Ongoing research with a possible publication this summer

I do understand that , however I am unsure how to get it higher as I already have 167 credits. (I had to transfer schools due to financial circumstances and subsequently changed my major from public health to bio with a chem minor)

You would have a better chance at DO schools if you took additional science courses to raise your sGPA and cGPA to 3.0 Otherwise you will be screened out at schools with GPA's less than 3.0 .

No, some schools do. If you are going to apply to DO schools this cycle you will need to apply to many schools and I suggest all these:

BCOM
NYIT-Arkansas
CHSU-COM (new school)
ICOM
UIWSOM
Sam Houston State (new school)
WCU-COM
LMU-DCOM
PCOM Georgia and South Georgia
UP-KYCOM
WVSOM
LUCOM
VCOM (all 3 schools)
LECOM (all schools)
Apply in June and submit all your secondaries by July. your 510 MCAT will attract attention at some school so you should receive some interviews.
