Hey guys, I just wanted some feedback on what you guys think my chances would be. I am a non-traditional student, I graduated from Texas A&M with a cGPA of around 3.1 and a sGPA of around 2.9. I got a 22AA and 23TS on the DAT, and have really good experience (shadowing hours and work), volunteer work, and LOR's. I got a very late January interview invite to UTHSCSA in the 2018 entry year cycle, but obviously it did not work out. I took about a year off to work full time and save up some money to move out of my parents house and to decide what to do for the future. I decided to attend the local university where I am from and enroll in a Post Bac Program to retake both O chems and Biochems because I got C's in them as an undergrad. I just finished up the school year and earned A's in both O chems and both Biochems. Ive done a lot more volunteering and shadowing, continued working in the dental field even through school, got two new great LOR's, and was a tutor during the school year for Ochem. I am applying to all three Tx schools and will be picking 4-5 oos programs to apply to when it opens. What do you guys think my chances are?

Pick a few of the private schools around the country and then also apply to UofL and any other schools that are super OOS friendly. Your stats are better than mine and I will be starting dental school this fall so you definitely have a chance.

May I ask where you got in? and are you a TX resident like me?

I'll be attending UK. I'm being considered as OOS, but I'm not from Texas. Have a good personal statement ready and be confident during any and all interviews and you'll be solid. If you have any other questions feel free to DM/PM me and I'll be happy to help.
