Your ECs are pretty weak for any school. You need more shadowing to start with. I’m not sure how CARS will be looked at but there isn’t anything you can do about it. I assume you are from IL? When are you applying? Do you have the MSAR? Use it to develop your school list. Hopefully you are applying next cycle because it’s pretty late this cycle.

I have already applied this cycle to both MD and DO schools and submitted secondaries.

RVUCOM (both schools)
ATSU (both schools)

AZCOM

DMU-COM

I added 3 schools to my DO list. So in total I applied to 13 DO schools

I have a 3.6 cgpa and 3.5 sgpa MD (3.7 sgpa DO) with a 503 MCAT (128/122/126/127). I don't know what happened with CARS TBH. I always scored 125-127 in my practice exams. What are my chances for in-state MD? What are my chances for DO schools? If it helps I am a disadvantaged applicant and approved for fee assistance.
State: NV
EC: Scribe for 4 years, researched at a chem lab for 1.5 years no pubs. 100+ community service hours
Shadowing: Surgeon with about 15 hours
Top schools are: In-state schools, CCOM, Western, BCOM, Loyola, Rosalind Franklin
