I’d like to stay in California ideally but I’m open to moving elsewhere. Do you have any suggestions on public schools to apply to?
you have one public school in california, plus 3 private schools there
and 7 private schools in different areas of the country

note what it says in the template "It is much easier for users to help you when you have taken the time to construct your own school list first!"
do your research on public schools where you want to live and we will give you feedback
your science gpa is below average, but your dats are awesome, so you should apply to more than just privates...

I agree with the above. Your DAT score is very good and can get you some looks at more than just the expensive privates. Consider some of the OOS public schools that offer in-state tuition or other OOS schools that accept a high number of OOS students and cheaper than schools like USC and NYU.
