semster long internship at student health center plus volunteering in SDS and ER at hospital for about 70 hours total

applied to KCUMB, CCOM, and DMU and plan to retake MCAT in august

i'm moving to KC and would love to get accepted their, any chance?

Your MCAT is low, as well as your science GPA. It isn't impossible, however.

Apply now, to as many schools as possible.

Assume that your MCAT score will go up, and maintain your confidence. Make sure to study plenty this summer---you want at least 8 in each section, so the verbal is the most important for you.

If you're going to apply, do it early. It's possible, but retake the MCAT and study hard. If you don't get in first time around, take post-bac classes and apply super early. I didn't get in first time around with similar science GPA and a 28 MCAT, but the post-bac classes helped me me get into my top three DO schools.

There are people with your stats in DO school now. There are many, many more people with your stats on a waiting list somewhere. You might get an interview or two (or three), but your best chance is to re-take the MCAT. A good MCAT score will make your "around 3.0 sci GPA" a non-issue.

sorry for this i know you all are getting irritated.. i just checked my score and i did really bad.. i got a 9 V, 6 PS, 6BS....i was scoring 9s in bio i dont know what happ 🙁 and my gpa is a 3.1 science

Im def. retaking the mcat in august.
i was expecting a mid-20s score, so i have my apps ready to send out, should i hold off on sending them now?
i'm afraid of getting rejected immediatley.. or will applying later with my aug scores be too late for me?
