I have a ~3.9 cumulative and bio gpa. Research exp for 1.5 years. volunteer for 1 year. Other extra activities as well. Please let me know what are my chances for US schools. I don't want to wait another year to apply and i don't think i will retake because i have to work on PS, application and my school (last quarter) as well.

If you be kind please let me know five schools where i have the best chance?

Thanks guys, i am really depressed and doon't know what to do.

I think you have a chance at many of the osteopathic schools, but that 7 in verbal makes a US allopathic acceptance very unlikely, even if you have a forgiving state school and other moderating factors.

I agree I had a PS10, VR 7, BS 12 with a 3.8 gpa. plus research, EMT, CNA, volunteering...couldn't get into a MD program.

I agree with the above. If English is your second language, you could apply to your state school and hope for the best, but most of your schools should be DO, unless you put the time and money into repeating the MCAT and doing way better.

You know what to do, OP: you just don't want to have to re-take the MCAT and I don't blame you. It sucks, but you have to if you want to get into an allopathic school.

slick sorry to hear about your misfortune. I think i am going to retake it but i am not sure if i can pull 10 in VR because English is not my first language. Also, it sucks being California resident when all the UC schools are out of my range 🙁

dude, definitely retake the MCAT.. dont worry abt the gpa.. it dont matter if its 3.85 or 3.9.. start practicing those EK verbal passages!
