What are my chances??

I am applying for 2011, i am a biology undergrad major graduating in may...so my GPA will be about 3.5/3.45 overall/science and i havent taken the dat yet but i do very well on tests so im sure average if not above is reasonable.

I went to school 2 years prior to undergrad for expanded functions dental assisting where through this i have experience assisting in 5 different offices including exp. w/ endo, perio, children, also one "office" was 5 weeks assisting dental students @ temple in every specialty. Also i had a paid asssisting position but all this was all in 2004-6 . I plan on going back to one of those offices this year and get lots of shadowing hours and a LOR. I have worked random jobs 1/2 of undergrad but havent had any E.C....
Is this really bad if i just have the shadowing for this year and a ton of previous exposure but no other E.C. in the past few years??????????????????

First take the test, go to http://predents.com, purchase the ADEA guide, read the sticky threads on this forum, search SDN for all possible questions. If you still cannot figure out your chances then post here with a what are my chances thread.

A good DAT score along with your GPA and an extensive experience in dentistry will definitely get you in somewhere. A good DAT and GPA can compensate for low ECs but it doesnt work the other way around.
