What are my chances?

I have read through a few threads asking what are my chances but I just want to make sure.

I have a science gpa of 2.83 and haven't taken the mcat yet. I was wondering how important shadow and work experience is. I have job shadowed a podiatrist for over a year now and have worked as a nurse assistant for over 6 months? I know the experience doesn't hurt but how much will it help?

with your science gpa, the MCAT will most likely make all the difference in the world. you really need to rock it to make up for your gpa. is there at least an upward trend?

Good luck dude. you'll most likely have to have a good explanation as to why your GPA is so low even if you do rock the MCAT. Most incoming pod students have shadowed and/or been a nurse aide AND ~3.25 GPA. I dont think you'd get in at Scholl, DMU, or Temple. You could try Barry, but you just might find out that you are $80k in debt when you cant pass the boards.

Why does Barry get so many put downs? yes I realize that Barry is one of the easier schools to get into... but I can think of at least 2 others (likely 3) that the OP would have a shot at... just my 2 cents

Hi, I'm new to this forum and decided to give it a shot.

I have a 3.2 at UC Berkeley, and low science GPA (2.9). I've been shadowing a podiatrist this semester. I plan to apply in Jan (after getting LORs from profs I have this sem). I also have volunteer experience in a pharmacy and nursing home.

Is Jan. to late to apply? Also, I intend to take my MCAT in Jan.
