Hi all,

I was wondering if I have a good chance at getting into a MD program with these stats, cGPA:3.58, mcat: 33Q.

EC: 2+years of research, will be doing an undergraduate presentation of my work this year, and might get published into the schools undergraduate research journal which is online *does that count as a publication?*

I also have done some shadowing, and volunteer work at a nearby clinic.

I don't really do anything else though (no pre-med clubs) does this look bad?

Job Experience: 2+ years of non-medical related employment.

Although my gpa isn't too hot compared to other peoples, * i had some trouble adjusting in the first two years of undergrad and had some family issues* I've managed to get A range grades in the last two years of schooling.

So will I get into any MD programs?

I think so, but really you should buy the MSAR from aamc.org and compared your stats to the stats for each school. I think that's a better indicator than other pre-meds telling you what your chances are. 🙂

Your GPA is a tad bit low, but your MCAT is nice. How many hours volunteering?
