Hey guys,
So I'm kinda freaking out. I submitted my app beginning of june and took my dat july 2. My gpa is 3.4 cum 3.3 sci and my dat is 23/22/22 AA/TS/PAT. I've applied to OSU, Case (ohio resident), UK, Louisville, UofI, Pitt, UPenn, NYU, USC, UB, VCU, UConn, ASDOH, Nova, Midwestern, Tufts, and Temple. What are my chances if any at all?? I would really like NYU, Pitt, Penn, or OSU but realistically where do I stand?

Your GPA is a
little low, but you should be ok.

Same boat I'm in, but I haven't taken the DAT yet. You have great chances (especially with your early submission). Don't let people on here scare you with their stats. You'll get an interview somewhere (maybe 2-3), so just make sure you make it very clear, the reasons for which you wish to become a dentist. Stats can only take you so far, the rest is sheer love of the field. Best of luck to you!

If at all?? I think realistically your chances of getting in somewhere are pretty good. I have similar DAT scores and a much lower GPA, but I've decided to go through with it anyway. Just keep your head up and you'll be fine.👍

P.S. I don't really like these threads but I ask myself this same chances question every day, but we never know until we try! It's all about confidence, and maybe a little luck!!

yeah i'm hoping for the best right now. Could my DAT or personal statement make up for my sorry gpa at all?

You will get interviews for sure. Just don't be :scared: in the interviews and you will be fine.
