Hi guys,

I recently took my DAT and scored : PA 17 QR 21 RC 18 Bi 18 GChem 19 Ochem 17 TS 17 AA 18

my overall gpa 3.53 and science gpa is 3.54

I had been a dental assistant for five years and still working at an oral surgery office as assistant.

what do you guys think my chances are? should i retake the dat in November? will that be too late for the 2011 application year?

There are some brilliant resources on this site you may want to become acquainted with first before asking the ever-popular, "what are my chances." This thread (http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=635046) is a wonderful tool in seeing how you compare to others at specific schools. November is late. Some people are already receiving interviews right now. Good luck!

I think your DAT is too low, but that's just my opinion. You should still apply though and see what happens.

if you apply to a lot of schools u might get in somewhere if you are like...really interesting. if you did something fantastic like were in the peace corps or have some really cool hobby or volunteer with an organization...you get my point.

stats arent everything. if u are depending on your stats to get in tho...i might retake.
