*sigh* Really? You got 24 TS and 23 AA and you don't know what they mean?

This actually made me lol.

I'll do the work for you, cause I am busy procrastinating.

I mentally averaged the sGPA/cGPA together...

From Pre-dents 2010

Columbia average GPAs: ~3.7
Columbia average DATs: ~22AA

Harvard average GPAs: ~3.8
Harvard average DATs: ~23AA

I have seen a few places report differently, but that seems about the average of all of the sources.

^ Columbia's gpa is nowhere near that, much closer to the 3.4-3.5 range.

I am not sure what resources your using, but the most accurate is the ADEA book for 2010 (latest) and here are the more accurate numbers:

harvard cGPA = 3.81, sGPA = 3.66, AA = 21

columbia cGPA = 3.5, sGPA = 3.5, AA = 21.7

Columbia's website says 3.5 for 2009.

Predents says 3.6 for 09.

Pre-dents is probably slightly higher than the average applicant...But in the succession of years you can see it rising.

Lot's of different sources...Like I said, I just put the GPA from Pre-dents for 2010.

im sorry to be the one telling you this, but that is not an accurate place to get pre-dental stats more. Only a small fraction of pre-dents get involved with predents.com. The pool of students is very small and non-representative

I'm aware it may be slightly skewed, as stated, but the numbers I have seen on there for the most part have been accurate enough for other schools...Maybe Columbia is just really skewed or something.

Edit: The overall stats (not related to the cycle) from pre-dents are the ones I have found accurate enough.

The overall GPA for columbia on Pre-dents is 3.5

pre-dents is hardly a reputable place to get statistics from but it is a great place to see individual differences (as far as how ECs and dental experience factor in)
