Hello everyone! This is my first time here and I'm already loving it. 🙂

Well, I would like some advice/feedback regarding where I stand. I recently discovered podiatry and I really like it. The problem is... I just submitted my application today and requested my transcripts today (I know it's really late!). I only applied to one school.... New York for the January 2012 semester ....and I'm not even sure when the deadline is for that semester (does anyone know?). I did not take the MCAT, however, I took the DAT and achieved average scores (New York accepts the DAT).

My cGPA is 3.53 and my sGPA is 3.38. I will be obtaining a bachelor's degree this August.

My two concerns are.... I'm very, very, very late in the application cycle (not even sure if my transcripts will arrive on time) and I took the DAT instead of the MCAT.

What do you guys think? Any feedback is helpful! Thanks!! 🙂

If you're shooting for Jan '12 class then you're not that late. You may even be ahead of a lot of other 2016'ers

Your GPA's are solid, as long as you got a 17+ on the DAT you will get into NYCPM for the January Term.

Just because you're given an interview doesn't mean that you should stop trying. It ain't over 'til it's over 😉

If you mean 17+ on the Averages, I'll be okay... HOWEVER my breakdown isn't that good.

Academic Average - 18
Total Science - 19
Perceptual ability - 18
General chemistry - 21
Organic chemistry - 20
Biological science - 17
Reading comprehension - 18
Quantitate reasoning - 15 <<<<<<--------

ouch! the 15 in the quantitative 🙁

besides that everything looks pretty good.

your scores will most definitely get you into NYCPM. 👍
