Hi,

I have very low gpa and below average mcats.
GPA ~ 2.6
Mcat ~18N (PS 7, BS 7, VR 4)
English is not my first language, but that was not reason for low VR. i just freaked out on Verbal section. I have decent grades in my english lit. classes.

I know these stats are very low for US med schools, is there any chance of getting in caribbean schools (SGU, Ross, AUC or any US accredited ones)?

Thanks in advance.

Chances seem pretty low. What's your sGPA? Possible MERP if you raised that MCAT quite a bit.

Yeah I was gonna say that you don't have much of a chance at med schools, but you can definitely join MERP with those stats (the Middle Earth Roleplaying Project)...

Seriously though, if you're not a troll, I'd suggest a post-bacc, MCAT course, SMP in that order. If you are URM, you might be able to just do a post-bacc and MCAT course, and then apply DO and MD. That's a heck of a long shot though- you will have to get your grades up to at least a 3.1 and get >25 on the MCAT.

There is a spot waiting for you at St. James. They pretty much take any one with a pulse and willing to pony over the $$$$ for tuition. MCAT is not required for admission there.:scared:

No. You will need to do many years of GPA damage control in addition to performing well on the MCATs to have a chance. If you aren't willing to do this, or are unsuccessful, consider another career.
