-What are my chances for DO?
-Also what would I need to get on the MCAT to get into a DO program?
-What DO schools would I have the best shot at getting into?

cGPA 3.38
sGPA 3.12
MCAT haven't taken yet

ER scribe for 2.5 years
PT technician
Some volunteer work
4 LOR =1 DO, 1 MD, and 2 science professors
Work full time so no clubs or anything

Conservatively I'd say you need a 30+. You can probably get by with a 28-29 though.

28+ mcat should make you competitive. However, you should be ok with at least with a 26 mcat score if you apply early and broadly. Apply to the newer schools like ACOM, Campbell, LMU, Marian, WCU, VCOM to increase your competitiveness.

Chances OK, but not super, due to the low sGPA. You'd be screened out of my program, for example. Best bet will be with newest DO programs. Anything on the MCAT >30 will definitely help balance out the sGPA.

What is the cutoff at your school for both sGPA and cGPA?

OP we have nearly identical GPAs. You can check out my success in the Underdog thread in pre-osteo. As others have said: 28+ will give you the best chance. Apply smartly but don't always avoid schools with pre-screens, as they may not be 100%. One of my 3 stats (cgpa/sgpa/mcat) was below the pre-screen at a school where I now hold an acceptance.

Goro is right that the new programs may be your best chance, but that holds true for all applicants. Don't avoid some of the more established schools, just be sure to apply to a good mix of schools. You may be surprised by your results.

Screened out of a DO school with a > 3.0 GPA? Wow
