Graduated on Dec 2011 with major in IT (Information Tech) and minor in bio
planning on applying this June for 2014 cycle
My stats:
cGPA - 3.52
sGPA - haven't calculated it yet, but around .1 lower than cGPA
MCAT 1: 19 took it on 2010
MCAT 2: 19 on 2012
MCAT 3: 26 on 2013
I know i have 2 19s and i know it's not good but anyway..
hoping the 7pts improvement will cover it up a bit...
Research exp with local med school research lab for about 2 years, assisted in publishing a poster.
Volunteered at the hospital ~80 hrs (patient transport)
Currently volunteering to help out with kids with autism at church
Currently tutoring bio and math privately
Shadowed a MD for about 3 month in Korea. Planning on shadowing a DO.
For the letter of recommendation, pre-health committee is putting together a packet with one from med school professor, and 2 from my science prof.
Planning on getting a letter from a DO.
I am mainly looking to apply to DO schools.
It would be great to know what my realistic chances are.
