Not URM, goes to state school

GPA : 3.93 Science GPA : 3.89

Clinical
Shadowing : around 60 hours since Summer 2011, 3 different specialties
Hospital : around 200 hours since Summer 2011
Hospice : 2 hours per week for 1.5 years

Non-clinical
Clarinetist at my church : 2 hours per week since 2009
Clarinet ensemble at my school : 1 hour per week for 2 years
Free clinic for homeless people : 1 hour per week for 1 year
Clarinetist of the community band of the city I currently live in : 2 hours per week since Fall 2012
After school middle school mentoring : 1 hour per week since Spring 2013
TA for one science class : 1 hour per week since Spring 2013

Research
Did research at my school's medical school : Started in Spring 2011 until now, I also worked in my school lab during Summer 2011 and received a research scholarship, got 1 poster out from this scholarship

I also did full time paid summer research internship at another medical school : did this during Summer 2012, planning to do this again during Summer 2013 while filling out apps, got 1 non first author publication from this and one oral presentation

Schools of interest : depends on MCAT, if above 35 then I guess top 20, if not then probably just one of my state school or mid tier.

I think you look super solid as long as you don't bomb the MCAT and only apply to top 10 schools.
