Hi all, I was just looking for some advice on where to apply and what my chances are, I dont really want to take that test again, but I will if its necessary. Also wondering if I do take the MCAT again do I need to wait until my new MCAT score comes in to apply?? (its already the end of june) Any help would be great.

cGPA: 3.71
MCAT: 27Q with 7-PS 10- VR 10- BS.
Resident of MI

Im not really sure what happened with my PS section but I wasnt to thrilled.

For my EC's:
- Worked for 6 years in summers and winter breaks in a doctors office in the lab, had patient interaction and doctor and employee interaction
- 1.5 years of physiology research, 2nd author on 2 papers that are currently in print
- 100+ hours of hospital volunteering and shadowing
- Board member of a pre-physician club
- Tons of other volunteering in things with the elderly, kids, tutoring, etc.

Let me know

With a 7 sub score you have virtually no chance of an MD acceptance. If you retake, you can still apply and get the process going. Most schools will wait until your new score comes out, but at least you'll be verified.

idk about MD, i know a couple people who got into MD with lower mcat than yours and lower gpa, but the chance isnt good. you are set for DO though.
