I'm applying to 20 MSTP programs and 6 MD programs. I'd really like to do MSTP.
I have a 3.95 GPA, 3.9+ science (can't remember precisely). Just got my MCAT scores: 35Q---12B, 12P, 11V, Q. I'm a rising senior at a top-20 school and I've done research since my second semester, including 3 summers. I have primarily non-medically related chemistry research, including one first-author publication in a lower-tier journal. I worked in a lab in the Czech Republic last summer and am currently researching with a molecular physiology lab for the summer.
I'm a little nervous because I don't have an amazing MCAT score and I am a double major in undergrad in Violin Performance and Honors Chemistry- I haven't had a lot of leftover time for a lot of medically related shadowing and volunteering (I have a couple semesters of volunteering and no consistent semester-long shadowing). I chose to do other volunteer work and ECs that were interesting to me instead of focusing solely on medical... How will my credentials hold up vs. other MSTP applicants??

You're wasting your time and money by applying to MD programs. You will also make yourself seem less focused on MSTPs to MD/PhD programs.

As always: http://forums.studentdoctor.net/showthread.php?t=539268

I don't understand what you're nervous about. You are a strong, but unnecessarily paranoid applicant. Your MCAT score is good and everything else about your application sounds excellent (research is good to excellent). You should do very well assuming the rest of your application is fine.
