What are some good additional loans?

So having a mortgage and planning on having kids sometime during my 8 years of school, I'm going to take out additonal loans. So far the Wells Fargo Education Connection Loan is looking like a good option to help me with my living expenses. I'm just curious about what other MD/PhD students with similar needs have taken out.

My school allowed me to take out regular stafford loans in addition to the stipend. Check with you school first before going with a private loan.
