I live in rochester, New York and I am going to be a sophmore in the fall. I have been looking for thing to do this summer like and internship at a local hospital, or anything like that. Any suggestions on how to get involved?
i found that volunteering at my local hospital was really fun and a good experience. Basically to start I just googled volunteering in my city, found them, then one day walked in the hospital and asked them if they had any openings.
Overall, I'd just say study and get the best grades you can right now (that's the most important imo), along with getting involved at your school. That could be through clubs, sports, doing community service, ect.
I also live in Rochester, Ny and I was excited to see it mentioned in this forum. You can take the mini-med school camp at the University of Rochester as well as volunteering at a hospital as mentioned above.
