I was just surfing the web and found 2 cool programs. The first is called Eponyms. It has a huge database of information.

I also downloaded a Mnemonics program. It seems like it might be pretty useful.

Both of these were free and I found them on google.

I would get epocrates and a medical dictionary. This will make your backpack a few lbs lighter and help prevent permanent nerve and musculoskeletal damage from hauling around the massacred forest that you call "books" and "notes".

A searchable dictionary is also helpful in lecture when the speaker is trying to sound smart by rattling of huge strings of $10 words 🙂.

Do you know of any free dictionaries that are compatible with Windows CE? All I ever hear for free is Palm OS. I guess I'll shell out the 50 for the dictionary if I have to, but who wants to spend money when they don't need to?

😀

I've found Epocrites (Rx) to be a really good tool to have in clinic. I was really impressed by LexiDrugs on a color PalmPilot. But for the price (free), Epocrites is pretty nice.

Anybody know of a good (free) medical dictionary for Palm?

Hey All,

I have a Palm IIIxe. It's old, i know, but still has 8mb of memory. I've only used it for datebook/to-do lists typ stuff, but I was wondering if it is good enough to have medical school programs in there as well?

Also, are color screens that much easier on the eyes? If so, I might just upgrade anyway.
