Do people get called by programs where they interviewed when a PGY1 spot becomes available? Did anyone ever get contacted by Findaresident? Are there statistics on % of offcycle PGY1's relative to positions obtained in the match+scramble?

If the program knows they are still looking for a position.

If by "off cycle" you mean outside of the match, then no. Programs are not required to report this and there is no centralized database that I am aware of.
