I realize this is rapidly becoming the newest "it" field and getting into a program is much more competetive now than it was even 5 years ago.

is there any chance to get in with a step 1 score of 205?

I realize that there isn't much chance to be picky, and that getting chummy with my school's department is the best way to go. I'd like to stick to the northeast, but would be willing to go pretty much anywhere. Any other advice, or do I drop the dream and enter primary care? ugh.

There's always a chance so don't give up. However, you'll have to do some catch up work for your low score. Kick butt in your third year (try to honor everything) and destroy Step II.
