What do you think is the best thing to do the day before the MCAT?

Use the whole day for some last minute cramming?

Use the day to relax (maybe get a massage, or just watch movies, or sleep)?

Do you normal activities?

I am VERY nervous about taking the MCAT (I am taking it on September 13th) and am thinking about taking the day off from work....so...what do you guys think. What do you think we should do the day before the MCAT?

I take it today. Yesterday I watched Tropic Thunder. Then I ate a cheeseburger with fries. It was tasty. Today is like whatever.

I worked the day before I took it because otherwise, I would have sat at home driving myself crazy. I also didn't want to sleep in and I wanted to be tired when I went to be that night. I had dinner out and then went to a movie. I was relaxed and saw a funny movie, which kept me from getting too anxious. I was tired from working, so I had no problems falling asleep and felt ready the next morning. Good luck!

I know, I am afraid I might get too nervous :scared: ...having too much time on my hands before the test

Go to work, probably review some of the important memorizable concepts, and go to bed at 9 PM.

Yes, I am planning on going to bed very early the night before...getting a good night sleep is so important!...I hope I am not too nervous and able to sleep the entire night!

I played golf the entire day before.... best thing I can thing to do the day before the MCAT because it completely gets your mind off it. Also, if you walk you can work up a good sweat and get tired so that you sleep great the night before.

👍 Great idea!

i will probably play some road hockey in the driveway, goto the gym in the evening... maybe review some flashcards at night... and then sleeeeeeeeep really early haha

maybe throw in a movie or two

who am i kidding

ill probably be reading all day.

I guess it's different for different people. I took it on Friday, and day before I just went shopping for my apartment and tried not to talk or think about the MCAT. Of course that's hard when you have people asking you if you're nervous and what not. Just try to brush it off and act cool about it, try not to let them stress you out. I went out to dinner and had a carb heavy meal. I went to sleep around 10pm and had the best night sleep ever.

A bunch of other people I know tried to cram last minute. IMO if you don't know it by then, it doesn't really make a difference what you do last minute. I think it just stresses you out by making you realize what you don't know and then you're freaked out by the next day. Better to just take the day off and build some confidence. It makes test day 100 times better.

I'm gonna go to class, do my homework, sleep.

I took my last practice test two days before my test.

The day before, I just casually flipped through my notes and tried to relax. Went out to dinner and got myself in a good mood, went to bed really early.

I took the test at 8 AM, so I woke up at 5:30, drove to the Dunkin Donuts outside my test center....had just enough coffee to make me alert, then switched to sipping cranberry juice so I wouldn't get too jittery.

I would recommend studying as little as possible the day before the test...your time is better spent getting into a positive mental state and avoiding the reflex to freak out.

Hmm the day before ...

I remember studying all day until the evening. Then I drove out to a hotel next to the testing center. Studied there till I went to sleep. Couldn't sleep because I was nervous.

Woke up next morning before alarm clock. Did some practice verbal passages to warm up. Then I walked to the MCAT testing center and took the test.

Now what I did after ... is another story 🙂
